I hope you folks who are/were getting pelted with rain, are all ok?
Saturday was quite an odd day for us in my neck of the woods.
It constantly poured down, for about 11 hours, very heavy rain.
I ended up with a swimming pool in my garden, and I really didn't want it.
Our high street (only street) got totally flooded, and came to a standstill.
Most of our wee roads were blocked for hours, and guess what?

I missed it all, by sleeping all day.
I never heard a thing, I kind of remember dreaming about trains.
But didn't realise, it was the rain battering off, my tin roof.
When I did get up..erm very late.. I popped my head out the door, and saw the new pool.

B****** I thought, I'm going to get my knees wet out there.
So I just stayed inside, listening to the updates, and the rain on my roof.
Anyhoo, hope you folks are ok, and got through it.

I'm just about to eat a kingsize mars bar.

Aye, wwe are ok, thanks for askin

The river is high, but I have seen it higher.
I have never seen it moving so fast though
I saw a huge tree going down river
There was a lot of water around yesterday and there still is, but we escaped the worst.  There are areas around here that didn't escape and are under water or roads are closed due to them being flooded out.

There was almost a months rain in 8 hours here   water was sitting around everywhere yesterday when I came home so I knew there was going to be trouble
