At least Labour can't blame the SNP for this one it was a done deal before the May 2007 election.

Course they can. Labour might have rubber stamped it but it is the SNP that is responsible for the administration of it now, mal or otherwise, is it not?

These are big contracts that can't just be teminated at will cause the party that wins an election isn't quite keen on them. Well, maybe they could, but at what cost?  Work in progress of projects this size becomes the burden of the party in power to make the best of whether they themselves support them or not.  No doubt though, instead, Salmond will be squawking about it being "no oor fault".
