I had the chance to see the DVD of this film before Christmas and thought it looked crap, not one word of English in the film at all.
So i sat down and viewed it on Bravo a couple of weeks ago, first 15 mins i was almost falling asleep, then as it progressed i though,"Hey,this ain't too bad after all."
Seriously,i would have no hesitation putting it in the top 5 films i've ever watched,it was that good.
Not got too much time for Mel Gibson but on this occasion he has come up with a masterpiece, watch it if you can. _________________ Life isn't about how many breaths you take but by how many people you leave breathless. |

Nephew brought the DVD round when it came out a year ago, knowing of my interest in Mesoamerican civilisations. It's a brilliant movie ... not history as such, but a brave attempt at it by Mel Gibson.
It's on TV at some point in the next few days I believe. Catch it if you can ... I can't recommend this movie highly enough!!! _________________ Non Poster By Request |

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this movie was too - downright unforgiving in parts, but the story keeps up apace!
