I'm hoping to see loads of snowdrops tomorrow, they were all late coming up, in the meantime took a walk in the woods today and the sun and trees gave a lovely display of light and shadow.

The false Spring continues. This was the pathway at the back of the Manor, half an hour ago.

| Maybe because in the old days the 'landed gentry' would plant them according to a common plan? |

| the wood near me was once a Roman Camp as well as a traveller's site. It's a strange one though as there's barely any sign of life, spooky |

The gardeners don't do much outside work from October to March. They're generally working in the Greenhouse Complex. Come spring, the team will soon whip everything into shape.
However I like large parts of the estate to grow wild, to encourage the wildlife! _________________ Non Poster By Request |

went to some lord's manor grounds to look at the snowdrops today. Snowdrops are notoriously difficult to snap cos of their whiteness and smallness. As they're later this year a few crocuses got in on the act too. I do believe spring really is on the way now

Moonie ... It's not me and it's NOT my lands any of our fellow posters are on. For starters ... none of you are invited ... and if by
chance any of you DID make it on ... you'd soon learn how to run very fast ... courtesy of my dogs ... and the armed staff! _________________ Non Poster By Request |

I thought it was the lesser spotted dark blue anorak.
