The takeover of HBOS by Llyods TSB may have looked to be a good idea at the height of last week. However in the cold light of day it would seem a great deal of leading business men and women are totally against this.
Of course its the H in HBOS that caused the problem and perhaps the Bank of Scotland should not have merged with the Halifax. Too late for that but not to late for this takeover to be halted. Peter Mandelson as the government's business manager is eager for this to go through as quickly as possible. Here is the man would obtained a dodgy loan and was sacked twice. Who on earth can trust him in anything. Anyway here is what leading buisness people are doing.
