Is venison the new "beef" on the new menu?

I have tried it once before and found it quite tasty although a little strong in flavour IMO.

Has any other guys tried and maybe enjoyed this new meat, or has anyone else a suggestion on just how to cook and enjoy this "deer" meat.
Recipies are most welcome.

Please though, do NOT suggest adding garlic, for gawds sake!!!
Venison is of Scottish origin and should be treated as such.

I'm not keen on it myself.
My Dad used to be a game keeper, and we had it all the time.
There was 9 of us to feed, so we got lots of game meat. Blech.
Totally sickened me of the taste.

But... and there always is one.

If you mince it Allan, and make it into a burger.
You might not like the sound of this next bit.

But before you shape it, if you put some very small dices of apple in it.
It takes some of the strong taste away, and makes it nicely sweet.
If you grill the burgers, rather than fry them, they taste much better.

I wouldn't add salt, untill you have them made.
But I think you will like the different flavour, running through them.

Cook it in Like a stew...Potatoes, Olives, Carrots, Corn, Tomatoe Sauce, Diced tomatoes, Water, Red Wine...

Don't forget seasoning...Add your own (what you like)...I use oregano, cumin, salt, garlic, complete seasoning, sazon goya (seasoned saffron)cooking wine or regular wine...Serve with white rice...

Use the wine it stops the smell and gamey taste....I personally do not eat it, but on the farm (deer, gator, turkey, quail, boar, horse, turtle, duck, etc.)and I would do it for my grandfather...
