WARNING!!!!!!

If you get an email from UPS, with a number, don't open it up,

it's a virus & it'll fry your hard drive,

I've checked it with snopes, and it's a real virus.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

the pc was working OK at work this morning! I think the mails that come through are scanned for viruses so hopefully the thing I opened didnt have one

Jeezo BoB, that is the second most boring site, I've ever seen.

By the way, the virus, is not a fraud.
I had to reinstall Vista on a mates pc tonight.
Everything was wiped.

I asked if he had opened any strange emails?
Yup, he did, but he couldn't remember what it was, or who from.

But it ate everything, so be very cautious folks.

It seems to be targeting gmail, yahoo,and hotmail accounts.
If it gets into your yahoo account, it can take all your contacts.
Then send itself to everyone of them.

The way to stop this happening, is to do this.

If you create a lead contact, by using this.

aaa@yahoo.com then it cant get past the first contact.

By using "aaa" that will become the first contact on your list.
Because it's a fake contact, it won't send, and the virus, cant get any further.

This won't help you, but it will stop any of your contacts recieving it from you.

I hope I've explained this properly.

I'm not sure if this works with gmail, or hotmail.
But it certainly does work with yahoo.

If your first contact is fake, it's a good way to protect your contacts.

As of now, I don't know if there are any tools to block this virus.
As there doesn't seem to be a name for it yet?
The damage is done very quickly, and it wipes your computer entirely.
All files, are lost, no way to recover them, so you need a clean install.

All I can reccomend you use to protect yourself are these programs.

This could stop the virus reaching entering your p.c.

This one has good realtime protection.

At the moment, you can block the email, instead of opening it.
But don't try to bounce it, it is too unstable to B****** about with.

The best option is delete, any suspect emails right away.
Then run a full virus scan.
