AllanP, you're comment regarding Eloise was personal.
You cannot go around calling people sad or whatever.

I'm up for a bit of a stooshie regarding different points of view when it comes to any issue, but personal attacks are just not on IMO.

I for one will NOT be appologising for my comments.

I STAND BY EVERY WORD I SAID  !!!!

If Allan P can't accept what people say, then that's a personal problem only he can deal with.

I didn't ask you, or anyone else to apologise Allan.
I'm just asking that you read this thread from start to to finish.
Surely you can see how it looks to others reading it?
I can understand folk getting angry, when it looks like you are singling out one person.

You, and Eloise both post here regularly, more than I do at the moment.
Sometimes I just don't have any time to get here.
Of course we all won't get on all the time, I cant do anything about that.
But, I have to say it, as I see it.

This can either carry on, or not, I don't edit, or delete anyones posts.
But avoiding certain threads, can sometimes be the only thing to do.
No one is better than anyone else in my eyes.
It's good to see you all posting, and helping to keep this place going.
It might be quiet a lot of the time, but it's been like that for a long time.
Yet, it still keeps going, thanks to everyone posting on this thread,
and to those who post elsewhere, and kept out of this thread.

For the record, I watch River City every week, because I enjoy it.
Also, the fact it's a Scottish soap, and this is a Scottish forum, well
it makes sense to me, to have a section for it here.
Just because someone likes something someone else doesn't.
I don't see how that makes them "sad"?
In fact, it makes me interested to know why they like things.

You were on the original FTS, so maybe you will remember when I used to get blasted,
for joking around, and not taking anything seriously?
Thats my personality, I prefer to try to make people smile.
Way back then, a lot of folk were getting abused on the board.
For not enjoying the same things, as others did.
There were a lot of bullies on the first version of FTS.
No, I'm not calling you a bully Allan, so don't think I am.
But that part of FTS1, sickened me, so I started to fight back at them.

This is why, I try to keep this place as friendly as possible.
Arguments will always happen, and I'll try to mediate, but I won't,
put words into anyone elses mouths, or edit, or delete, to make it look
like a sunny forum.

I think you are all brilliant, and I'd buy you all a pint, if I could.
Thats it for now, I'll try to get back here tomorrow.
I might even bring a white flag with me, just incase, cos I'm all out of doves.

Sid, you are so refreshing to say the least, after many disagreable answers.

It's a pity that there are many who are far too easily put off by a disconcerting comment about what should, or should not be said, albeit about any particular subject raised.
I relish any counter arguement against anything I've posted heretofore, and will defend my right to say so.

I have said I'm sorry. Some do not accept this from me. That is up to those individuals. Mods included.

Live and let live, agree to disagree if you will, but do not expect me to agree with everything said or implied, on this board.

Have I not apologised? Can you and others not accept that?

If not, then I am sad or whatever. Eloise has had an apology.
Must I now spend the rest of my life wearing sack cloth and ashes?

Because, if you don't know about something, then as far as I'm concerned, your opinion doesn't count for anything.

To put it into words that you may understand........if you don't vote, then you are not entitled to spout your political opinion.  If you can't be bothered to even try to change things in your favour, then don't moan about the outcome.

However, no doubt you do have an opinion about everything.  I guess it's our choice whether we can be bothered to read about it.

I think we need to take care of things Southern style, just like they used to do over here..........

Take him into a swamp,
put him on his knees,
then tie him to a stump,

and let the snakes, bugs and 'gators do the rest !!!!!!!!!!

Brilliant, imagine me and you in a padded cell,eh!  ho ho ho,ye'd go sane in nae time at aw Sissy.

Okies, methinks quite a few folk have made valid points and it's time to gie this a wee rest for fear of it going over the top.

Sometimes a good wee board such as this one,can go to ruin just by a few folk making statements, whether real or jokingly, and end up with an argy bargy.
Alan,at the end of the day,i think anyone is entitled to do whatever they want on the net, whether it be viewing music, programs, or anything else for that matter and it ain't for anyone to tell the other person what they should do otherwords,we would be living in a 1984 situation, though to be fair, you did apologize.

Thank you Sid. The voice of tolerance and reasoning needed here
sadly.
Is it okay to say this?

I am a lamb in comparison to old Ivor, but I don't accept silly criticism without a reasonable counter arguement against my POV.

I quite liked Ivor. I was probably one of the few who never had any run ins with him.

Ah! Ships that pass in the night. I miss them all.
Those characters and others too were never mundane and boring.

Ivor wasn't boring, because he was actually totally insane.
Like some kind of spoilt brat that wanted everything his own way.

Dunno if you'll agree with this or not Allan.

But I reckon mundane, and boring, can be mundane, and boring.

Got tae agree,Ivor was a currant short of a full fruitcake.

I used tae be frightened tae put the computer on in case he jumped out at me.

But nobody and i mean nobody ever made my blood boil as much than a guy called Lucian DeVille.

This tube was a psychopath, used tae be on BBC boards and Morning Starr.co.uk

Not so! Ivor, wherever he is or is doing now, was never, ever mundane and boring.
He enlivened any discussion here by his sometimes zany viewpoints that could enrage myself or other boarders which encouraged many answers.

COME BACK IVOR if you can and shake us all up once more.

You are needed.
