ZimbabweLooks like Mugabe has been beaten but might not accept the defeat & try & pull a fast one.BBC quote.. I know I'm a cynical old bag at times but I cant help feeling that if the place had oil or some sort of political importance the US and/or the UK would have invaded by now..... |

Before Mugabe took power they where intending to start looking for oil but he put paid to that.
I lived there for 3 yrs before he came to power as my old boy worked for Weirs Pumps at Cathcart,Glasgow & was working out there.. Fantastic country & great people that where very loyal to the UK but we abandoned them big time.. One thing they do have is a fighting spirit & if that old b****** Mugabe is ousted they will make a comeback given the right help & tools to do so.. rusununguko (Freedom) |

There is certainly a great deal of suspicion over the long delays in announcing the election results.

He may not think he wants to stand down though 
I hope he does and goes away so as the country can start to get back to trying to rebuild and get on its feet. If he desides he still wants power it could all end in tears!
