Lord Blackadder

Troy

Well, the movie made it to TV at last.  Has anyone watched it??

Yeah, I know that Homer would be birling in his grave at the way the Iliad has been mutilated.  I was near screaming and tearing my hair out at the cinema!

But just watching it now ... and I have to say ... my gripes aside ... it's not too bad a picture at all!

Brad Pitt's Achilles is very good. His fighting style is based very much on the Achaean Dance of the Cranes combat manouevers. Coxy is a brilliant Agamemnon ... and Peter O' Toole as Priam is masterful. A real class act.  Sean bean as the wily Odysseus is also very good, and Eric Bana was enjoyable as Hector.  Orlando Bloom wasn't great ... but James Cosmo always delivers a solid performance.  Even the set piece battles were good!

Have to say I enjoyed it for itself!!!

I started to watch it Lordy B.
But to be honest, it's not my kind of thing at all.
It's very americanised, (Sorry America) but it's a bit overdone.

I'm listening to Anthony And The Johnsons instead.
Lord Blackadder

Anthony and the Johnsons??  Oh you're so sad!!!  I heard their first album ... then turned it into a frisbee somewhere in the Rhinns of Galloway!!!  Can't listen to that kind of rubbish at all!  It's almost as bad as C & W.

Your just mad, cos I didn't like Troy.

Nope ... what you call amazing I call screechy!!!  And that's my opinion ... based on fact!
