Leisure and Pleasure at Aberdeen City CouncilYesterday, a tribunal ruled that former Leisure Manager Tom McNeil had been unfairly dismissed by Aberdeen City Council after turning whistle-blower, and reporting to senior management a series of sexual shenanigans involving members of staff on Council premises. One of the incidents Mr McNeil blew his whistle on; involved a female manager performing a particular sexual act on a Mr Woodcock, Director of Sport and Leisure.

Aberdeen City Council are introducing huge cuts in council spending. Many projects are for the axe. The Department of Leisure and Pleasure are receiving particular attention with regard to cut-backs; maybe the managing officials took their eye off the ball. Then again, maybe not.
Anyway, Aberdeen has been badly managed by various bunches of burghers for many decades and not just a few years. I could spend all day and the next citing mismanagement, ridiculous planning, waste, corruption etc etc etc.
Spending a fortune on refurbishing Marischall College for 'new' council premises is just lunacy and one of the present council's many foolish schemes.
I'll maybe come back to this once I think everything through.
