High Horses Is it????I'll gie you High horse!!
I was on a bus today, one of those big double decker things with the driver remotely hidden away so he doesn't have to listen to the crap upstairs.
Anyway, I was getting rubbish in stereo, Quad sound even. Up front was a youngish Couple playing a mixture of Flute bands, bigoted songs and generally trying to stuff each others tongues down down the partners throat.
In the back was a deaf teenager with tiny little earphones, blasting his idea of Good rap music into the world in general, except he forgot to add the C at the beginning.
Somewhere in the middle was a demented drunk trying to make a phone call to explain to his wife/girlfriend/boyfriend, why he was late and why he was shouting above the din. and finally another teenager who's idea of a good sound system consisted of turning his mobile up full trying to listen to Amy Whitehouse, who would be a much better artist if her name didn't rhyme with toilet.
Anyway, after about 30 minutes of this madness I stood up and shouted " For F...... sake wull ye can it, I'm tryin' tae sleep here"
The bus went quiet for about 5 minutes, thus allowing me time to get off at my stop and leave them to it!!
Buses are mobile asylums for the mentally deranged, the hard of hearing, the sociably unnacceptable and the plain smelly.
I wouldn't use them except for one reason, for auld guys like me they are free

You fitted in nicely then?
Know what you mean though, I hate buses as well - they're a last resort. Trains aren't much better these days either. Buses tend to be worse *I think* because they're generally cheaper than trains, so attract more riff-raff.

lol.. i never meant you were riff raff... else I'd be calling myself that as well seeing as I need to use them on occasion... just that, in my observations anyway... buses to seem to attract more of the element of riff raff that are around than trains do.
As for deranged... I've met you remember!

I just hate when drunks are on the bus.
I remember one was sick at the back, and every time the bus went down a hill, the puddle of sick crept further forward....omg it was awful
And another thing...why do the weirdos always end up sitting next to me??

That happens to me as well.. so it must've been you who sat next to me.
I remember asking this bloke sitting next to what time it was... and he looked at his watch and said "it's round about now".

That was a class post Bill, personally i cant remember the last time i was on a bus, they are dreadful places , full of ignorant baseball cap wearing, shell suit adorned Burberry loving scum spreading their germs all over the shot..
Anyone under the age of 30 should be banned from using public transport as a rule..
Above are the reasons why i drive a gas guzzling 4x4 & because of all the recycling we do i reckon it offsets the carbon emissions produced by the 4x4..

something I hate about people (or women more like) on buses - asides from everything - are the ones who get on then spend 5 mins fiddling around looking for their busfare. Erm hello? You've been standing at the bus stop for ages probably knowing fine well that you're going to need your fare. What's wrong with a bit of advance preparation and at the very least knowing the location of your purse?!

Men can be just as annoying searching back pockets for lose change. I hate people who are at till can use the time to fill up their shopping bags or trolley but dont and cause hsvoc for other people who cannot get to their own shopping cus they are in the way and checking to see if you have taken thier shopping. Why dont they just move out the way!
