Big Brother?

Is this programme the pits or what?

Does the Sun screwspaper sponser this debacle?
If it doesn't, I bet the editor wish it did.
Pure infantile nonesense!!

Entertainment on TV is so bland these days.

Will HD or digital TV be any better?

In a word, not on your Nelly.
Oops! Too many!

I have to admit, I watch it, and rather enjoy it.
But I can see how it's not everyones cup of tea.

I love watching humans, and their strange quirks.
Also, it means, I don't have to watch news at ten.
I'm really not interested, in the media poop, they dig up.

There are news stories out there, that never see the light of day.
Everyone knows a sad, or happy story, that could be highlighted.

Why some are chosen over others, get's on my tits.

Also, politics, really ain't my thing.
I couldn't give a flying horses poop, if Gordon Brown licked a kittens face today.

Actually, he looks like he just licked a donkey's bum, most of the time.

Is it possibly staged managed and filled sometimes with actors who are primed to cause havoc at times? That scenario would I suppose make for beter viewing figures I suppose.

As an addition to this thought; Is it at all beyond the realms of possibility that "deal or no deal" is also filled with actors and actresses?

They ( the contestants ) do seem to know just when and how to milk the viewing public with long drawn out pauses after asking that they are, "ready for the question Noel" before giving their answer.

Deal or no Deal is quite addictive viewing I admit, but until I've known someone who can verify these "contestants", then I will always be more than a little bit suspicious!!

Maybe you should try your local non-smoking pub for answers which once might have been discussed among the many departed characters who once frequented these places but have now stayed home.

Socialising is fast becoming old stories told to the younger generation by older people who gathered at these places nightly and discussed all and every subjects at home and worldwide.
It used to be a source of knowledge and learning, but no longer.

Smoking and smokers in general may not be the big answer to our problems, but as an input, they are sadly missing now.

Don't even try to aplogise Zaf. Love your pun on taste re masterchef though.!
In order of my own personal taste : I agree, I agree, I agree - no you are not, and I love watching it too. The grub looks good enough to eat.

There are many various preferences and tastes in all walks of life, but there is no one who should possibly tell any individual just what is right or not.

Smoking in pubs.

My opinion on it, I suppose, is I agree with the ban.
I used to look at folk at the bar blowing huge amounts of smoke.
All over the bar staff, last job in world I would have wanted.
These poor buggers, must have absolutely reeked of smoke.

Singing in pubs now, is much easier for me.
I can still talk the next day, instead of coughing everywhere.
But the smell of sweat, can be a bit overpowering, if it's a busy pub.

I'm a smoker, and always smoke outside, even in a smokers house.
If it's raining, or freezing, I just don't have one.
I don't see why anyone should inhale, MY smoke.

Regarding deal or no deal, absolute pants.
But yip, I still look at it sometimes.
Noel Edmonds, makes me cringe, he really is not funny, and thinks he is.

Big Brother, I do like, and really enjoying this new one.
But if we all liked the same thing, we would be robots.

I hear what you say and respect your opinion about smoking and smokers in general.
However! Don't you think that there is now a complete demise of social gatherings where reasonable people can meet each other and have some fun?

I certainly do not see a sudden influx of non-smokers flooding these premises, but completely the opposite.
Pubs are closing down, that is a fact. Social Clubs the same.

Why? Need I explain my reasoning behind this fact? I don't think so.

I have never inflicted my smoking habits on non-smokers in my life.

We smokers have been treated disgracefully over the past few years what with having to smoke outside in all weathers without any protection and the like and not being able to take our drinks with us.
Is it any wonder that we not only choose not to do so, but choose to smoke and drink at home where it is much better and cheaper?

We smokers are being treated far worse than junkies nowadays, who are being better looked after than we are.

You'll be telling us next that our carbon footprint is far too high and we should be exterminated.
CRAP!
Just as a late observation, Noel Edmonds and the Banker are W.....kers!
Rhymes with Bankers! For the benifit of all sensitive non-smokers.
Xcotty

You make a good point Allan.

Smokers seem to be treated as the scum of the earth.
But we smokers, have a choice, like everyone else.
If something is available to buy, then we have the right to buy it.
It's not illegal, (YET), so surely, if it's there, we can buy it.

Junkie's, get a lot more help, than we do to quit their habit.

I remember my dad being told, if he didn't quit smoking,
He wouldn't get an operation he needed.
But, he was a smoker, yes because he enjoyed it, but also,
because, when he started, he never knew the risk's, it involved.
By the time, folk started realising, they were affecting their health.
Most of them were hooked. Many stopped, but smoking is an addictive habit.
Any addictive habit is hard to break.
So I reckon, being told, "no operation", was hellish.

I would like to stop smoking, but at the same time, I enjoy it.
If I choose to smoke, away from anyone else.
Then what harm am I doing to anyone? None! (only to myself.)
Thats my own choice, wrong? Right? Still my choice.

I think if there was a designated smoking pub, it would make a bloody fortune.

I have Sky because of reception problems and there are many programmes there that are not worth watching, but "terestial" television is definately being "dumbed down", and I think Big Brother is a waste of time. I have better things to do than watch people going about whatever they do.
