Apparitions.Anyone watched this series on BBC 1 Thursdays 9pm?
It's about a Catholic priest (Martin Shaw) doing battle against satanic posessions and being ridiculed by a Cardinal who wants to have him struck off.
The series is up to 4 of 6 now and although I missed the first two episodes, it's now my compulsive viewing on a dismal Thursday evening.
It does have excorism a la', " The Excorcist" undertones about it, but with a human quality which is enthralling to watch and addictive viewing nonetheless IMO.
I look forward to the last two episodes, and hope the Beeb might well consider another series.
Great Stuff!

I like Martin Shaw and this series too.
I hope it wont offend anyone but it really seems to highlight how controlling and devious the RC church can be (and I guess other organised religions)

Hi Allan, I'm hoping the BBC bring it out on dvd, it would be a bril collection. I managed to watch episode 1 with no interruptions and haven't had piece to watch the rest (although they've been on!)

thanks although it's finding the time just now, and preference would be on tv screen rather than a pc, a few hours in this household with no interruptions would be bliss

Yes I would likely buy the series too just to view the first two episodes I missed.
I wonder if they (the beeb) will bring out another series?

Okay then, you're my man. Apparitions is just another step a little bit sideways from those great progs.

Tonight, thursday 18th Dec I watched the last episode in this series.
I can only say, "Wow!"
Martin Shaw as the priest was phenomenal along with the supporting cast.

Maybe along with other TV progs this series will soon come out on a DVD package.
Although perhaps you might try to catch the last episode on BBC iplayer.
It's worth the watch if you've been following it so far. Try this.
