I like Petula, "Downtown", is a classic from my youth..
Helen Reddy.."Angie Baby", I love that too.. Clodagh Rodgers-/-Helen Shapiro-/-Dana-/-even That Mousaka woman. Great singers..Dusty-/-Olivia-/-Loadsa them. But my favourite was Karen Carpenter, pitch perfect, voice of an angel, poor girl. |

I think Striesand probably has the finest female voice I have heard. I don't particularly like a lot of her stuff. Must admit the first time I really took any notice of her was when the Guilty album came out. I really loved that and bought a few more after that. | ||

I'm loving Paloma Faith just now, like her odd voice, and brilliant songs.
She's still no as good as my favourite female singer though. Horse MacDonald, and she's Scottish, even better. I thought Maggie Bell was dead, I was wrong.
