If you was left to be stranded on a Island of Scotland, which would you choose and why?

I would love to be somewhere on The Isle Of Jura, for its wild and stunning beauty.

My first thought would be Canna or Eilean Shona.  I have happy memories of there but I suppose I should really pick Arran seeing as it is "Scotland in miniature"

This is too hard to do. There are just too many  Every island has something about it

Jura is lovely.   It's own wee climate

I would also say Barra and Vatersay - such a beautiful place but have not been there since I was about 10.  I doubt it has changed so much?

Why is it Mr X that midges always bite in places that they shouldn't?

It's because they are so small, but I think they are demons.
Though, I must admit, I'm glad they are that small.
Imagine if they were the size of dolphins, or summat?

I love the Isle of Skye, and in particular the Stein Inn at Waternish but for isolation and peace I would go to St. Kilda and be at one with nature. (and all the sea birds of course )

I had a friend once who said "I have an Ocean in my yard, why don't you meet me at high tide".  I did and went to the Shetland Isles on holiday. Such memories of youth.

I'm playing a gig on Skye this Friday coming.
I love playing there, they treat you really well, and give you beer.

I will definately look into that one Alison.
Also, I reckon both BoB, and Sissy, are close enough to come along too.
We could get very drunk, and laugh like nutters.

When shall we tell him of our cunning plan?
