What are the TV personalities you would most like to retire gracefully?

My own choices are:-

Terry Wogan. Cannot stand his condescending voice or his inane humour.

Angela Rippon. Cannot stand her voice or her silly full face grin, and her inncessant drivel when trying to show she knows what she is talking about.

There has to be many others, but these two make me squirm!

Jonathan Ross and even more his brother

Most of the camp brigade, not all but all that are on during the daytime TV

David Frost

That dwarf chef from the Wirrell.

I would like to retain Angela Rippon as she has nice legs

All presenters that believe that anyone from Scotland has won for Britain and not Scotland, but when it is an English win it has been won for England and not Britain.

Sorry Bob, my a's in gabble got mixed up with o's.
My spellchecker must be malfunctioning.

I seen her on some antique show recently.
She's no very good, really plummy, and wooden.

Bit like David Dickinson really, he looks very wooden too.
With a coat of orange varnish.

I think Fiona Phillips should retire, glad she's leaving GMTV at Christmas but please do not think of doing anything else.

Also the Dimbleby's should retired can't stand either of them.

I'd like to add another-
Paul O' Grady. What a diddyman/woman!
I've never enjoyed him/her with his obviously scripted humorous comments and I've always thought his dugs were more interesting, although only just.
Can any other plonker other than himself get a job on TV, and then get paid for being a pain in the erse?

Maybe I should apply, if that's the case.

PS. Fiona is a Babe! Silly, scatterbrained maybe, but nonetheless still a bit of a babe.
To me anyway.

I don't really watch Paul O Grady, not too keen on him, as a presenter.
I thought he was quite funny, as Lily Savage though.

Fiona may be a bit of a babe, although deffo not my cup o' tea. She makes me cringe with her mock sincerity and her air head comments. Now Kate Garroway should take over as lead presenter. Unfortunately Fiona's husband is only editor in chief of GMTV so perhaps Kate will be bypassed as its a well known fact Fiona hates her.

Fiona has announced she is leaving TV at the end of the year and is coming to stay with me.

Damn! Another daydream.

Funnily enough I was thinking how much I disliked Bob Monkhouse (most of the time) and now that he is dead, I realise how quick and witty he could be.

Bob was very smarmy, easy to dislike him.
But I agree Nic's, he was really quick witted, and funny.

There doesn't seem to be many folk talking the place of the good old comedians.

Talking about hating and loving there is a fine dividing line. Niclaramartin says it all when he says he hated Bob Monkhouse alive but he's better dead.    I hated Dusty Springfield Alive but she is better off being dead.

Ricky??????

Dusty was a goddess.

What a voice she had, no-one can match her.
I dunno what she was like as a person.
But her singing was magic, I love her voice.

Ricky ... dissing Dusty is not a cool thing to do.  Not with all the gay people on this forum.  You want to commit suicide ... best doing it elsewhere!!!

I'm probably in the minority here, but I can't stand Bruce Forsythe. He should have retired years ago.

John 'permanent rictous grin' Barrowman is one I could slap everytime.  Next, the entire Eastenders cast, let John Carpenter's 'Fog' take them all away forever

Very true Data, and who told him he could sing?

He's bloody embarrassing, and really quite awful.

(See how I swore, then got posh toward the end of that sentence?)

Ricky Gervais, gets all this credit, for writing a brilliant comedy.
The Office, it was mean't to be a really original idea.

Craparoo folks.

Does anyone remember a comedy, called "Operation Good Guys"?
It was filmed exactly the same way, and set in a police station.
The officer in charge, was exactly the same kind of bloke, as David Brent.

This was a few years before "The Office" was made.

Look for "Operation Good Guys" on you tube, or google it.
If you never seen it, you'll get an idea, of what I'm saying.
If you remember it, you can also, like me, call Ricky Gervais a fake.
