sorry if I've spelt the name wrong.  I'm sure I mentioned this in a former life in a former fts in a former whatever.  Has anyone read his 'Boiling a Frog'. Real laugh out loud stuff.  Loved it so much I got the rubber ducks book and was somewhat disappointed.  I'm keen to read another one of his, which one would you recommend?

Try "Toad in the hole"... That's tasty.

Besides the ones you've read ... try any one of these ...

Quite Ugly One Morning, 1996
Country of the Blind, 1997
Not the End of the World, 1998
One Fine Day in the Middle of the Night, 1999
A Big Boy did it and Ran Away, 2001
The Sacred Art of Stealing, 2003
Be My Enemy (Or f*** This For a Game of Soldiers), 2004
All Fun and Games until Somebody Loses an Eye, 2005
A Tale Etched in Blood and Hard Black Pencil, 2006
A Snowball In Hell, 2008

All great books.  I much prefer Brookmeyer to the awful Ian Rankin!!

I think a tale etched in blood is in the local shops, do you have the time or the inclination to give a brief outline of what it's about?

I like Ian Rankin, not all the stuff but quite abit, so far anyway
